BETA® 200 opththalmoscope
The separation of illumination and observation beam by means of the aspherical optical system avoids corneal and iris reflex (Gullstrand-principle), The BETA@ 200 allows you to view the whole of the illuminated section of the retina even with a small pupil. Conventional ophthalmoscopes often let you see only part of this illuminated section.

Unique optical system. HEINE optimizes the Gullstrand principle

Corneal and iris reflex is eliminated. A full view is guaranteed even with small pupils.

HEINE BETA® 200 Retinoscopes with ParaStop
(US Pat. 5,859,687)

The new BETA® 200 Retinoscope with ParaStop® and the latest multi-coated optics for an exceptionally bright fundus reflex and easier detection of the neutralisation point. ParaStop® was developed by HEINE to give easy precise selection of a parallel illumination beam. ParaStop® simplifies and speeds up the precise detection of cylinder axis. ParaStop® also simplifies the verifications of the cylinder correction after refraction.
